Aptible has built-in Database Encryption that applies to all Aptible Databases as well as the option to configure additional Custom Database Encryption. Application-Level Encryption may also be used, but this form of encryption is built into and used by your applications rather than being configured through Aptible.

Backup Encryption

Database Backups are taken as volume snapshots, so all forms of encryption used by the Database are applied automatically in backups.
